Office 365 for IT Pros, 4th Edition, was published on 1 June 2017. Copies of the book are available in EPUB/PDF format at practical365.com or Kindle at Amazon.com and local subsidiaries.
This document describes the changes made to the book since its original release. The document is up-to-date as of the version released on June 16, 2018. We try and release an updated version weekly, usually on a Friday unless we are disrupted by something like a major conference. For example, we did not produce an update during the Microsoft Ignite conference.

Amazon notified purchasers that an updated file for the Kindle version exists after the 9th update – 4 August, the 14th update – 15 September; 19th update – 27 October; 28th update – 5 January; and 34rd update – 24 February. We can only ask Amazon to update monthly and even so, sometimes they do not agree that we make enough changes to justify them sending a notification to customers that they can download the updated file.

i do wish the book to include a dedicated sharepoint online chapter(s)
I’m afraid that’s not going to happen. We have enough work on hand to publish via our existing routes without opening up SharePoint to allow people to access chapters online.
FWIW, the 5th edition of the book will have a dedicated chapter covering SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
I purchased the book and I have to say that is nothing to complain about it, it is a huge work and sometime I’m very surprised to find tips about things that I was almost sure that I known. Great work! Carry on!

This book is amazing, second to none. I work for a multi-national fortune 50 company where we have several different Office365 implementations and the tips and knowledge in this book has been essential to us.

Hi, I am considering buying this book because it’s always up to date (something I feel I really need), but this blog just, essentially shows what I’m missing. It is a list with comments about the updates, but not the actual updates. How is the book actually being updated? How do I get those updates? Should I just buy the most recently updated copy days before my migration and hope I can process the info fast enough, or can I buy it today, weeks ahead, and somehow see the updates on the day of?
Good question. The change list just describes where changes are made in the book to help readers understand if they should go and re-read a section. In the background, every Friday we create brand-new files from the latest content in EPUB, PDF, and Kindle formats and post the new files to the sites where people buy the book (like practical365.com or Amazon). Those who have bought the book can download the updates from the site where they purchased their copy. The download is a complete book with the changes integrated into the text (in other words, it’s not a set of changes that you have to read in conjunction with the original book).
